2. A Princess Reads

januari 12, 2009

I’m not illiterate, though sometimes I may give that impression.

I recently finished Wild Swans: three daughters of China by Yung Chang.
A Princess is obliged to be multicultural or at least pretend she’s interested in the other side of the world, just in case she conquers those regions in the future. This book gives you a window into 3 generations of a country. If you never were able to understand how Mao succeeded in gripping and crippling a country the way he did, read this one.

Right now, there are 3 books on my bedside tables.

  1. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.
No comment right now, let me read it first.
  2. The Perfume by Patrick Süskind
It was about time that I read this one. My secret fascination for killers rises again.
  3. Tourist guide to London
I’m going to the big city when my exams are over, accompanied by Yoshi and another subject. So I need to read untill I know it all and learn the map by heart.

Future readings: The Lord of the Flies and The Great Gatsby, ment as train food.
